About Us
Empowering youth in Colorado Springs since 2019
Though we have only had the opportunity to serve less than 100 kids, we are excited to be able to provide this opportunity to more people! Oasis Studios has four rooms in which kids can engage. Creative Oasis specializes in musical expression. We have grown to be able to offer mentorship with art of almost every medium, as well as on-site merchandise production, for kids who are a bit more business minded with their artwork! We are currently able to provide opportunities to create/edit videos, as well as various mediums of visual art.
We started off serving kids who wanted to learn to produce music and create instrumentals. We expanded into lyrics, and the transformation has been monumental. We have seen kids begin to process trauma through our services, and the passion to continue this was ignited! Every day we all learn something. If we can learn to process our emotions through our own methods, we have the best chance at creating habits that will lead to a successful future. Creative Oasis provides this proudly with a combined 15+ years of experience writing & recording music and 7 years of experience working with children.
We are now offering group life skill development activities that will be billed through Medicaid primarily. We are eager to get more groups in the door, as we feel that peer support is one of the best ways to encourage both engagement and growth for youth. Positive peer pressure rules toddler classrooms, and we feel that the same energy can be fostered with adolescents. These groups include a blend of group discussion and creative activities, with skill building all-around. If you intend to sign your child up for groups, make sure they understand that there will be a certain level of vulnerability required. Confidentiality is key for all of our advocates on staff, as well as for the youth in these group sessions.

Creative Oasis' essence has been felt throughout the El Paso County youth community for more than four years. Through this time, we have had the opportunity to bring his ability to create music on-the-go to a few of these kids. Seeing the effects of a consistent opportunity for these at-risk youth is the exact reason we have opened our doors. This opportunity should be extended to as many children as possible, as the recent pandemic has shown us the dire need for our children to regulate emotion through healthy mediums. Creative Oasis is excited to provide these opportunities which could also prove to be fruitful skills and habits. We welcome children and parents from all walks of life to reach out if they feel they could benefit from these services. We are always looking for organizations or members in the community who are willing to help out for those families who can not afford it, and are working to become as flexible as possible with the community.

Fostering Vulnerability
Artistry is deeply intertwined with your soul, which makes it very sacred to a human being. Understanding this can be very hard and sometimes scary for people. At Creative Oasis, we encourage everyone involved to understand this and see that this new ability to express oneself can lead to new behaviors as well. Navigating this in an environment with adults who understand the level of vulnerability it takes to walk through life as an artist can help to minimize the intensity of these behaviors.
Confidentiality
Art and feelings can be private. We will never share your art on any platform without any prior written consent, nor with anyone outside of the client's list of communications. Anything discussed in sessions is also confidential to this list. Everyone needs a place to be them with absolutely no fear of judgment, and this is the Oasis.
Genuine Expression
Without your genuine expression of yourself and honesty within sessions, your art will not feel like art. Take pride in who you are, what you've been through, and have faith that there is a way to express the pieces of yourself that you dislike, as well as the ones you love, and Creative Oasis wants to help you find the healthiest way to achieve this.
