CEO/DIRECTOR/CREATIVE ADVOCATE (Music)
Colorado Springs was one of the best places to grow up in my opinion, but I always found that expressing myself in healthy manner was tough for me. I played a few years of band in which I was very talented, but I didn’t find it as being ‘cool’ enough, so I quit. If I had the opportunity to learn how to develop my own style or craft, I may have never given up on music, and may have had a better understanding of myself. I didn’t know that I could record my own music until I was well into college. Having now 8+ years of experience writing, recording, and mixing music, I find it being my greatest emotional release, and use it as a medium for expressing the things that I often have trouble finding the words for. I have worked with children in El Paso County for almost six years, and I am enthused to be able to provide youth with the opportunity to better learn themselves from an emotional standpoint, and learn how to channel that into a healthy form of expression of self. Being able to help develop our youth’s emotional understanding, as well as their technical skill set is my greatest pride from life so far, outside of being a parent.

CREATIVE ADVOCATE Se habla Español.(Guitar Instruction)
I’ve been in Colorado Springs most of my life. I’ve played music on and off for about 15 years. I’m a college graduate working in finance trying to rekindle his passion for the arts. Life can certainly be tough sometimes and it’s important to find a way to subsist. Playing sports in one way or another and playing music have been the things keeping me balanced and clear headed. Let’s make something beautiful and meaningful together.

CREATIVE ADVOCATE (Multi-Mediuim Artist)
Hello I’m Alex Minor! I am a multi-media artist who loves working with people. I work with clay, paint, digital, crafts, leather and more! I am a native of Colorado and a proud one! I believe that change starts with you. Each person you inspire, they inspire two more, and so on. The love you give to others will always come back to you, in a different form, different hobby or even a different person. It will never be lost. I am happy to be your mentor as you will teach me a lot as well!

CREATIVE ADVOCATE (Songwriting/Recording)
As a creative artist, I truly found myself through art and Language early on in my high school career. It was the basics of learning how to draw and watercolor that really drew me in. I began falling in love with language arts about the same time which really formed who I am today. I’ve managed to blend a sense of athleticism, art, language, music, history, math, and science into a brew of inspiration. There was always that hope I would eventually perform my poems and writings in a live setting.
I knew early on that I wanted to tell people my story and what makes me “ME”. Years later I can now say that I have long since made that a reality and that’s what continues to be a driving force for my future and motivates me further to see each of my dreams through. The entire world and process of Writing, recording, and performing my music has been some of my most fulfilling work thus far.
Now being apart of Creative Oasis I am so grateful to be in a position to share my experiences and knowledge with the youth of my community in hopes to inspire them the way I first was.
